In Week 4, DePlus Kia remained in sole possession of first place with a 16-set victory in eight games, while Hanwha Life Esports followed closely behind with a six-game winning streak. DRX, Nongshim Esports Academy, KT Rolster and Genji Global Academy continue to battle it out in the mid-table, while Guangdong Freecs reported a much-needed first win.
Week 4 also saw a number of different champion selections. In their match on Monday, June 26, Guangdong Freaks utilized a jungle ivan to score two dives to the bottom in the first set, and a draven-pike combination to the bottom line in the second set to secure the win. Nongshim Esports Academy also picked up a win on the day, using Jungle Velves as a joker pick in the match.
Week 5 begins on Monday, March 3 at 2 p.m. with Nongshim Esports Academy taking on KT Rolster. The two teams have an even 8-7 head-to-head record against each other. It will be interesting to see which of the two teams will emerge victorious at a crucial time when they need to make a push for the top spot. The next two matches will be between DRX and OK Savings Bank Brion, and Live Sandbox Youth and Guangdong Freaks. On Tuesday, April 4, Genji Global Academy takes on T1 Esports Academy starting at 5 p.m., followed by current leader DePlus Gia taking on second-place Hanwha Life Esports.
The LCK CL will be held offline every Monday and Tuesday at WDG Esports Studio (Jung-gu, Seoul) and can be booked on Interpark Tickets. All-day tickets and general seats are available for purchase, with all-day tickets starting 96 hours before the first match of the day and general tickets starting 72 hours before the first match of the day. The online broadcast can be viewed live on Naver eSports (Korean), Africa TV (Korean), Twitch (Korean, English), and YouTube (Korean, English).
