Defender Glenn Johnson, who played for Chelsea in the English Premier League (EPL) from 2003 to 2007, criticized Chelsea’s flagship striker Kai Havertz.

Havertz joined Chelsea from Leverkusen in Germany in 2020. The transfer fee was 80 million euros (115 billion won). At the time, it was the highest transfer fee ever for Chelsea. Havertz also helped Chelsea win the UEFA Champions League (UCL) in the 2020-21 season.

However, in the eyes of senior Chelsea, it fell far short. Johnson lashed out at Havertz in an interview with Britain’s DAZN.

“Habertz has played a few times at Chelsea and won a couple of titles, but I doubt we should keep him. He’s a great player, but he’s not the right player for the Premier League.”

Johnson continued, “Habertz is too slow and lethargic. Although Havertz is a player with skill, it only worked in the German Bundesliga. He is not in the EPL class. You will not see any progress in the EPL.”

Johnson insisted that Haverchi be sent back to Germany. 토토사이트

“Chelsea has to sell Havertz. I think this summer is the time to let him go. If Chelsea have to let someone go in the summer, I think that player will be Havertz.” revealed
