Ajax’s Mohamed Koudous (22) is attracting interest from several clubs.

“Kudus is set to leave Ajax this summer after refusing to sign a one-year contract extension,” the British media outlet The Daily Mail reported on Aug. 22, adding that he could leave for £40 million ($65.4 million), with Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United also interested.

“Koudou has made it clear to the club that he wants to leave. A move to the Premier League seems very likely,” adding that “he rejected an offer to extend his contract at Ajax in April.”

“United manager Eric ten Hagh, who was previously in charge of Ajax, is planning to bring Cudjoe to United, as he did with Lisandro Martinez and Anthony Martial,” the publication said.

“Arsenal, who finished second in the Premier League, are looking to strengthen their squad as they need to challenge for the UEFA Champions League. Newcastle are in a similar situation.”

An attacking midfielder who plays for Ajax, Kudus has excellent dribbling and ball control, good speed, and solid body balance. He has the ability to contribute to the team in both offense and defense with a high workload. He has made his presence felt for Ajax this season with 18 goals and 6 assists in 41 games. 안전놀이터

Koudou’s potential has been widely recognized. He made a name for himself in an interview where he compared himself to Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain).

“Neymar is not a better player than me, he just has a longer career than me. That’s all,” he said, adding, “He has achieved a lot, so he is well respected, but I will reach that level soon.” His comments were met with criticism, but also praise for his confidence.

His performance against South Korea was nothing short of spectacular. He scored a multi-goal performance against South Korea in the second group stage match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. His performance was a huge boost for Ghana throughout the tournament.

According to the Daily Mail, “Ajax have a tendency to sell players early if they fail to re-sign them. The club are expected to seek £40 million for Kudus.” Koudou’s contract ends in June 2026.
