Shohei Ohtani (29-LA Angels) was an Earthling with a taste for sweets.

“Shohei Ohtani was not an extraterrestrial creature,” Japanese media outlets The Digest and Sporchini Annex reported on Thursday (Jan. 24), adding that photos of him eating sweets are resonating with fans in the United States.

“Even his casual appearance attracts a great deal of attention,” the outlet said, adding that “this is the fate of a superstar.”
