Lim Seong-jae (25) tied for 6th place in the 3rd round of the PGA Tour WM Phoenix Open (total prize money of $20 million).

On the 12th (Korean time), on the 3rd day of the tournament held at TPC Scottsdale (par 71, 7,261 yards) in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA, Im Seong-jae recorded 4 under par 67 with 5 birdies and 1 bogey.

Im Seong-jae, who scored a total of 9 under par 204 strokes over the three days, started the final round in a tie for 6th with Tyrell Hatton (England), Jason Day (Australia), Rickie Fowler, and Zander Shopley (above USA).

With a 13-under 200 stroke, it is four strokes away from Scotty Scheffler (USA), who ranked first.

Lim Seong-jae appeared in seven competitions in the 2022-2023 season and achieved top 10 twice, including the Shriners Children’s Open (7th place) in October last year and the Farmers Insurance Open (joint 4th place) last month.

Im Seong-jae, who made a long birdie putt of more than 11m in hole 4 (par 3), reduced the number of strokes by catching birdies in all three par 5 holes that day.

Leader Schaeffler seized the opportunity to rise to world No. 1.

Schaeffler, currently number two in the men’s golf world rankings, will become world number one if he wins the event and current No. 1 Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland) falls below the single third place.

In addition, if McIlroy finishes solo 2nd, he will drop below 36th, and if John Ram (Spain), currently ranked 3rd in the world, does not win, he will rise to 1st.

Ram is tied for second place with Nick Taylor (Canada) with 11 under par and 202 strokes.

Ram can also be number one in the world. 먹튀검증

McIlroy is tied for 28th in the tournament with a 3-under 210.

Schaeffler and Ram will play together in the champion group in round 4.

Kim Si-woo (28) is tied for 20th with 5 under par and 208 strokes, and Kim Joo-hyung (21) is tied for 28th with 3 under par and 210 strokes.
