Christian Arts (31, Hatayspor), a Ghanaian striker from the English professional football Premier League (EPL), went missing in the earthquake in Turkiye.

According to multiple foreign media outlets including the BBC on the 6th (local time), it was reported that Arts, who plays in the Turkiye professional football league, went missing in the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Turkiye.

The day after he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 win over Kasimpasa in the regular season, he disappeared under the rubble of a building in a major earthquake.

Hatayspor, in southern Turkey, was only 145km away from the epicenter of the earthquake and suffered great damage.

Reports on the arts are mixed.

Ghanaian sports journalist Sadie Adams said on her social network service (SNS) that “Arts was rescued and taken to the hospital.”

However, the British Guardian said, “The fact of the rescue was reported, but it was not confirmed.”

바카라 Arts’ team has not made an official announcement either.

Artz, who made his professional debut at FC Porto (Portugal) in 2011, moved to EPL Chelsea in 2013.

Afterwards, he played on loan at Everton, Bournemouth (England), and Malaga (Spain) before transferring to Newcastle United (England) in 2016, and after going through Alaed (Saudi Arabia) in 2021, he has been active in Hatayspor since last year.

He also played 65 A-matches for the Ghanaian national team. He did not play in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In response to the news of Art’s disappearance, former teams such as Chelsea and Newcastle posted posts on social media wishing for his safe return.
