Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom (Texas Rangers) has been placed on the disabled list again. This time, it’s 60 days.
The Rangers officially announced on Saturday that they have placed DeGrom on the 60-day disabled list. After leaving his start against the New York Yankees on April 29 with left arm soreness, DeGrom was placed on the 15-day disabled list the next day. 안전놀이터
He rehabbed and took steps toward a return, including a bullpen appearance on April 27, but his progress was slow and he was placed on the 60-day disabled list.
DeGrom is considered one of the league’s best aces, winning back-to-back Cy Young Awards in 2018 and 2019. However, his frequent injuries have led to him being called a “glass house. He last played more than 30 games in 2019.
After signing a five-year, $185 million (24.17 billion won) free agent contract with Texas after last season, he vowed to “pitch 30 or more games every year,” but injuries have hampered him since his first year.
This season, he has two wins in six games (2.67 ERA), but his time away from the mound has been increasingly frustrating. He may soon be adding the unwelcome label of “bust” to his resume.
